It depends. PHP will not go outdated in future for sure. Giant like Facebook have it's implementation. PHP is so cheap to implement that all free hosting providers support it. PHP is easy to learn and can be easily converted into performing major advance task.
BUT, job opportunity, even being high, provides very low income. PHP developers are very cheap to hire. PHP is only good if you're thinking to make your own online service/startup. Working under someone else as a PHP developer is definitely a weak option.
