Do java have a limit

Question

how strong is java like can it handle making big pc/console games or only small Android games
an example would be can you make a skyrim or GTA 5 game with it or just small games

I know that Minecraft was made in java

Hi. Java is a powerful, but slow language. With good graphics and complex physics it is almost impossible to make good performance. You can make a game, but it be either slow or will not have frostbite details. For high performance you need lower level programming language like C family.
