For Hacking Python 2 or Python 3?

I am Interested in Hacking and I heard that Python is one of the best scripting language. I started learning basic. It was going well till I came to know that there is python 2 and python 3 now i am confused What should I choose For Hacking And Scripting.

Rather try to develop useful programs, but there's no need to learn python 2 because python 3 is the newer version
