It really depends what you plan on doing. You will be using financial maths if you go into commerce but you could do very basic math if you are doing Web development for clients that just want a web presence. If you want to do artificial intelligence then you will have to understand statistics and gradients in order to get the best results from a given data set. If you want to work with game development then you would need geometry and trigonometry to work out rotations and placements of objects in 2D/3D space. If you create software that makes use of geography then you will need to calculate coordinates. It depends what you are doing all company system require reports and if you want to master analytics you need you know what questions to ask about the business and how to utilise the data for reporting. What is the expected down time of the company if we have 3 breaks and it took us 30 mins to restore services every month for the last three years. That is an algebra question right there. Roel The % symbol is a mathematical operator which means the remainder. The ! is a logic operator which comes from boolean algebra. The symbols look different but the function remains the same.

none/maybe a little basics, because it is not correct maths: % isnt a correct operator just like !, and its more likely that youll learn maths from it rather than lots of math needings
