You can format the hard drive portion by selecting my computer and clicking formatting option. Formatting erases the OS. Are u trying to compact instead? Use disk cleaner instead.

1. burn OS to USB or Disk.
2. open it through BIOS.
3. install on your old drive, and enable "erase disk".
