c# or java

Question

hello fellow devs.
im coding for 2 yearn now, i leard some Python, Javascript, Assembly, Java, C# and C++.

but C# and Java kept me thinking cause they both are pretty much alike so i was wondering why should i pik Java and why C#.

i already decided that i was going to learn C++, assembly and Java or C# but i cant decide wich one.

please wat are the differences and what are the pros and cons of C# and Java
(btw i want to be a software dev)

java and c# are very similar
c# has linq which is pretty nice and seems to have an edge compared to java when it comes to implementing new features into the language(lambdas, ...) and is well integrated into the microsoft ecosystem and can be used to develop cross platform apps
java is well established in the buissness world with stuff like java ee is used for android developement, java is also cross platform, whilst c# struggles with that a bit more(but there is mono and .net core so c# is getting there)

Pros and Cons of “C# vs Java”.

Pros:

Sometimes you learn interesting things about the languages that you didn’t know before.
The tangents that some people go on can be quite funny.

Cons:

Things tend to escalate into flame wars between the Pro C# Crowd and the Pro Java Crowd.
Sometimes the information someone uses to make their point is incorrect.
The tangents that some people go on will make you wonder, “Why….? Why….? Why would you ever say that?”
