Just finished course on Python, and need to look forqard to next language for mobile app creation. Any suggestions on what next?
I would need the language to be able to use stuff like GPS tracking, live positionings on a map, and able to hold values for individuals over time (I will probably jist use Python classes for this, so maybe something that is able to do something similar to this or able to play well with Python). I am thinking about Java, but am unfamiliar with it or the other languages offered here. Any advice would he greatly appreciated!

You can't really use Python to make such games as you want to. Even if you use Py with kivy it won't be able to do everything that you need. It would be much better if you learn Java and use it with Android Studio, which supports much more things than Py does.

1337 H4x0r Well I never used Kotlin before so I just stick with Java. Looks like I'll have to learn it then😁

It's probably so far behind because it has many less users.
The SL team is probably working on making the phone app even better, so then they leave the desktop version out.

Thank you all for your responses. I'll work on probably learning both Java and Kotlin at the same time. I'll learn Java while at work (on desktop) since Kotlin isn't yet supported on the desktop version.
Can I just say, idk why the desktop version of this service is so far behind in implementation and ability compared to the mobile app. Shouldn't it be backwards from that?

It has an easier Syntax, it is supported by android studio. There are other advantages as well probably, but i havent learned kotlin in a while

It looks like it is better to leaen Java first and then Kotlin due to Kotlin using Java as a base. So, looks like all roads currently lead to Java.

Well, I prefer Kotlin over java, but that's my opinion :)
