Whitch language is better to make an app? (Not a gama)

I would personally say C# as it is flexible in terms of being able to be on different platforms without too much hassel as well as it being simple. But some others may say Java or C++ (maybe even python or more) which I wouldn't deny that its a good choice too.

To make an mobile app, it is Java. My favorite language though is C#. I tried creating apps with Xamarin but I saw that the syntax was pretty much like the same as Java, few things changed. Java or C# is the same damn thing (it's not but they seem). For Windows (maybe Linux or Mac): C#.

By the way, to make things clear, Xamarin is using C#.
