Do I need python?

Question

Guys, give me some reasonable and robust advices.
If I want to be only web developer(more preferably frontend), must I know python and spent my time for learning this AMAZING language?🤔

I know about Django, Flask, TurboGears and other beautiful technologies about python for web, but...

There's so little time to learn JS stack only.
I'm confused and need advices from python developers and amateurs.

I am absolutely biased towards python and love it. It is the swiss army knife of programming.
But having said that if you clearly know what you want to do, and it does not require python, then No, dont learn Python now.

Actually, there is no right or wrong answer.
But I think you will benefit from learning Python. Given the similarity between C# and C++, you will learn about another way of thinking with Python. The more ways to learn to think about a problem, the better it makes you a programmer regardless of language.

I reallly like python.Its simple and easy to learn.
But as you said if you want to do web development there is no need to learn python as mostly php is used for backend.You can save your time by skipping python and learning php instead.

Guys, I haven't got a good memory, and I think 100500 languages are not the silver bullet for me.
No matter what language I think, coz they are all about the same with only different syntax, core features and so on...
Nobody can remember 5-10 languages well, and thus - what for?
It will be better to be a good in pairs of technologies and know about other possibilities.
What do you think?

If you are mainly interested in the frontend, then personally I would not learn Python, since it does not contribute anything to it. The Python frameworks on the backend are famous, but there are other alternatives that you can explore.

Having a second language has nothing wrong, since it complements you and allows you to be fullstack in this case.

i don't know if browser extensions are part of the front end field of competences. in some (rare) cases you may want additional functionality on the client side that cannot be achieved within the browser (e.g. document scanning and pdf uploading).
this can be achieved by c++, java, python etc... program that communicates with your browser extention through a messaging protocol.
i think being familiar enough with one programming language aside of the web trilogy is a doable task and you'll never know when, but it will be handy.
