Python because of all the things Ryu said and because Java is used for herding cats (per se). For whatever sinister (likely political) reason, most college kids in the US learn Java first, so most aspiring programmers have some knowledge of it, team leads who are very corporate like to have a large candidate pool and therefore choose Java as their main language (even when there are other languages more suitable for their project), then many of these people never broaden their horizons to learn other languages and stay firmly in their Java-filled comfort zone, thus perpetuating this vicious cycle of Java-glazed Java-jellied Java-donut manufacturing scheme. But I thought a simple question deserved a simple answer, so learn Java because it's everywhere and learn other things because it gives you personality. Happy coding! 😁

Totally agree Janning⭐ . Sometimes I think organizations choose Java to keep the employee cost down. YOU certainly have personality. I still don't know Python but when I learn it I will understand you even better.

I prefer python because it's a relatively easy tool to learn, it can be used for diverse purposes (satisfy my needs), and it makes possible to make prototype more quickly... More importantly, it's more fun for me to code with python:-)

Thanks, Sonic! Python is steeped in strange movie trivia. You'll enjoy it. :)
