What code/ computer language do you recommend when building a payments app on Android?

The project has at least 6 integrations with different service provider APIs, which includes a payment gateway for Visa, MasterCard processing.

Android apps use Java. Their APIs should all support Java (unless you're connecting to some really obscure payment gateways...).
