TurtleShell yeah it took me 1.5 years to learn it. I was completing one chapter per month btw :p But after a couple times of completing HTML fundamentals course, all the tags became a part of you. Like a limb. You can't forget them even if you try to XD

You can learn html in less than an hour but the point is that whether you can use it to build something. Take your time and complement it with css and javascript

I think it depends on what your expectations are. Anyways I guess you dont learn only HTML but also CSS.
If you want to create very nice professional designed website and to know most of the css tags and attributes, I guess you need more than only one week, I guess weeks or months to be good at it (my opinion). But in the end its about how fast you can learn and what level of knowledge you want to get when "you" feel that you have learned HTML/CSS.

HTML is quite easy. I learnt it within 2 weeks even when I had no resources to learn from. I am learning more about in SoloLearn... it took me 3 days to complete the course. The time that will take to learn html varies from person to person. If you don't get something, then consult someone or google it.
