What coding program should be used for web development?

Do you guys use just notepad or some other programmes for web development?

notepad++ and sublime are great text editors the difference being that sublime is more sophisticated and may be hard for a beginner. If you develop a web application and would love to test it offline before uploading to a server, XAMPP or WAMP server should be added to the collection of system apps. Hope this helps?
