What are ways to code around censorship?

To detect profanity without listing profanity in your code, use a character-rotation cipher or something similar. Like .. if want to look for the word "code" .. then perhaps rotate each inputted character one time to see if the string matches "dpef" or "bncd" ("code" rotated by one char).
