it depends entirely on you. I've been using Windows my whole life so i'd say Windows is the best. I think there is not a best os, any os has their strengths and weaknesses.

I use both Windows and macOS. I prefer macOS for most of my content creation. As a motion graphics artist and graphic designer, the Mac platform has always offered the most user-friendly elements I need for creation. This doesn't mean it's simply better than Windows. Microsoft has come along way to make Windows not suck. What you want to do will determine what you should invest in. If you want to create games (or whatever) only for one platform, buy that platform. If you want to cross-platform work, buy a Mac. You can run Window and Linux from a Mac, but you can't legally run macOS from a non Apple device. That being said, any graphical programs you write will have decisions you need to make. QT is a cross-platform GUI library, for games, Windows uses DirectX (Microsoft graphics API - Windows only), OpenGL and Vulcan, Linux runs OpenGL and Vulcan, macOS uses Mettle and is phasing out OpenGL. Do a little research into what your goals are and then decide based on what fits you best.
