Script kiddie?

Hi together, i talk with a friend about script kiddie and hackers. By that talk there was a nice question. we develop our own hacking programm and use them for test, in that case we are script kiddies ?? XD what would you say?

Ha, of course not. Let's say you and a bunch of colleagues make a program like that. Since you already understand how your program works and how you can modify it to your own individual needs, that makes you a hacker. The distinction between a hacker and a script kiddie is their knowledge of the subject. The hacker figures out the inner workings of a program and how it exploits a security flaw, whereas the script kiddie will just use the tool without really caring how it works.
