What is the most popular programming language?

According to Sololearn, the most popular language is C++ and it takes java by 30% of the number of learners.
It's a big difference comparing to the number of learners differences between the other major languages like python, Java, and Javascript so I was wondering what makes people want to learn C++ the most.

Personally, I think learning C++ beforehand makes it easier to pick up other languages. In my university, C++ basics are taught in first semester lectures for computer science undergraduates.
