But yes if you're looking to start in the Web front HTML, CSS, JavaScript is the usual. Continuing on that path would be PHP and SQL or you could go for something like I wrote in that post.

C is a difficult language, I’d recommenr starting with 1) HTML or Javascript, if you want to do web based coding, or 2) Python for coding programs and more technical stuff :) all good though

Just explaining better what i said: The languages today give you a lot of tools, that help developers to do things faster, but it makes learning more difficult.
C is a language which most part of time you will need to implement everything, enforcing that you learn everything well, from algorithms to data structures.
But, C is not so used nowadays, this won't give you the knowledge for Object Oriented Programming, which is the most used today. But what C gives you is the base of OOP. You can, after learning C, choose which path you want to learn. (Front end, back end, full stack, web, mobile, desktop, gaming, etc)
