Java Comma data

Question

At database ,one recorded has 2items divided by comma
For eg >> apple,orange
In java I would like to check the user has entered with apple or orange !!
How can I check for that ?

Are you asking whether the user input is present in the database or not?
If yes then what type of database you are referring- MongoDB or mySql?
