VR hardware requirements

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask programmers experienced with virtual reality about the hardware pack needed for smooth running of complex projects. Would you recommend laptop or desktop? Do you have some preferred configuration?

Desktop for sure, unless you have a good laptop.. however you may still run into thermal throttling issues. I believe the minimum requirements are: gtx 970 or rx 260 and an i5 4690(k) and 8GB ram.
