Which programming language is more beneficial for economist?

It really depends on the company you are working with and it's own system. But most programmers I know, working in the sector , including my tutor who goes on work trips to banka di italia at least twice a month - C++.
But as I said it largely depends on the platform and the company you are targeting if there is such. You'll probably also need to combine it, with SQL at least.
