never knew c++ was this easy to learn until now, this makes it look as easy as remembering lessons taught by the big purple dinosaur in the Barney show.

SoloLearn is just for beginners. There is a lot of stuff still need to be done with learning in all of programming languages.

then I must be very below-average, because I can't understand a damn thing these lessons are trying to teach. There's no context, it's just "copy my steps" without any meaningful explanation, like those godawful how-to-draw books. replication and regurgitation are not understanding.

EDIT: And then I kept reading comments and doing the lessons. And then I actually made something that works.

It may help to see possible applications. Like the age integers being used for determing driving or retiree privileges on a computerized form.
