count of checkbox checked

Question

i'm trying to get number of check time of my checkbox. i want to show these check times into the textbox.
i tried this but it didn't work
int count=0;

private void checkBox1_CheckedChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (checkBox1.Checked == true)
count++;
}
