Programming /code

Hi guys I need some advice or any opinion from you guys. I started programming couple of months ago with c++, I have learned the basics of it but I still find it difficult to understand some of very simple programs or writing some of my own codes or to do a very simple projects. Please any advice? Or which process can I stick to? Thanks in advance, your reply will help me so much.
