Why is fortran endangered programming language species?

We all know fortran is a high level programming language but this days its no where to be used

Can you provide elaborations as to how Fortran is "nowhere to be used" ? Do you simply mean Fortran is less used for mainstream / general development in recent years? Speaking of recent years, the latest revision was just released 2 months ago.
