Eclipse shift+8 not working

in my Eclipse IDE shift+8 button is not working
i search on web but cant find best solution...
please give me some advice...

only shift +8 not working but other shift +1 or 2 or 3 are working..they print symbols thank for disscuss my question

Is it possible that your num lock or any kind of lock is on by accident, preventing you from typing symbols? Unlikely though, considering only * isn't working...

Is your shift + 8 working elsewhere, outside Eclipse?
