Data Science Application depending on ever changing web data for it's operation.

Question

What happens to an application that is dependant of web data from a specific and unique website when the website maintenance ends or closed...like time series data for example.? I have an app. It is doing nice but I wonder what to do next in case the website disappears. Data Science help on this.

Exactly my point.. The only way to answer the question is to design the process in a controlled environment. Do a 'small' pilot and see what happens. The math part could come later.
