last question of the basics...

i don't get it... i worked out and understood everything but that. is it some high level math or did i forget what the % meant maybe?

You probably just forgot. a%b keeps substracting b from a untill b<a. For example:
5%2=1 (5-2=4, 4-2=1, 1<2)
