How does this app compare to others on the market? Ex: Mimo
I tried mimo out and felt like I got a good grasp of JS and it quickly reinforced what I knew about HTML/CSS. When I wanted to learn C# I saw overlap with JS but it was incredibly frustrating by the end of it. It was constantly just a mashup up of childish mix and match and I wasn't really learning. It sort of felt like a waste of time. It even advertised "making your first game," and all it did was end with "methods" which left me wondering if I missed something. I've heard people use this app to start a career in the industry after a year of dedicated practice and I'll just have to take it at face value. Do you guys exclusively use SoloLearn, and if not what other resources do you use?

At the end you have to put yourself in challenges to learn programming. Sololearn or mimo can give you start in the language of your choice. But make yourself a portfolio with your practices. For example if you're learning HTML 5 + JavaScript+ CSS 3 + PHP make a site on 000webhost (or whatever your choice is) and start practicing there. Learn to use knowledge bases like forums, communities etc... To ask questions or see how others solved a problem.
