Button background and hover color keeps switching back to default (Wordpress)

Question

Hey guys! I don't know if I am allowed to ask a question about this in this forum, but I can't find a solution anywhere and it's driving me mad! When trying to change a buttons background and hover color to my desired color in wordpress it switches back to the themes default color once I click save. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? The color code is correct, it looks perfectly fine in the preview but once I save the color just switches back. Over and over and over again...

It does work eventually after trying what feels like a thousand times without changing anything I do.. I mean I'm all for trial and error and eventually something working out, but there's got to be an actual solution :D
