Which skills I need to work with molecular dynamics simulation?

I would like to work with molecular dynamics simulation but I'm not very good programmer, I'm trying to learn. I will dedicate my vacation for that. I would like to know what learn and focus.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Masters degrees in quantum chemistry, physical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biochemistry or related sciences

• Minimum one year experience with MD simulations, familiar with Linux and scripting

Desired skills

• Experience with free energy perturbation and thermodynamic integration methods

• Familiar with programming languages (Python, C, C++, Fortran, Java, etc)
