How to read a plug&play device in the computer with python? I want to use an RFID reader which work like a simple keyboard

Hello everybody, I would like to know how to work and read information from a RFID reader in my computer in order to process that information and work with a data base with each tag read, I've heard it might work with both pySerial and pyUSB, but I have no idea since I'm beginner at learning python coding, I know that the RFID reader works like a simple keyboard plug and play device.
