what are the best things to learn for web design?

what should i learn to get better at web design, and what are the mainly used things for web design and the such

Html
Css
Javascript
Php
J query
They are enough to get you a great web design.
Html is for the frontend development of the site.
Js adds interactivity to website
Css is style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language like HTML
And php / J query is for backend development

Humangod I'd prefer Node.js for the backend to continue using JavaScript and I'd choose Vue.js as framework because it's pretty easy to learn and quite good but it depends on the type of project you are working on

As a designer your will be working more on the front end, and presentation. After you learn HTML, CSS and JS, Learn Visual Design, UI/UX and also learn a design software such as photoshop ,illustrator or sketch. Or try some free alternative. And read a lot of design blogs!
