Can someone enlighten me using these two:

var x = document.getElementById(" ").innerHTML = " ";
.......
var x = document.getElementById(" ");
x.innerHTML = " ";
what is/are the difference/s between these two? Well, both won't work when I'm practicing in Code Playground. Please visit my code ("MAKING")
