Which language is best for absolute beginners?

I started with Python. The syntax is very simple, it's just easy to start out with. Basic Web Development is also a nice starting point.

javaScript is easy to learn for beginners, but because it has so many weird rules it makes it more difficult to get a basic understanding of programming in general.
For general programming I would suggest Python.
for web development start with HTML followed by CSS and JavaScript

They are all of different categories.If you like web development then go for html or else I would prefer java or c++.

forget aboutprogramming languages for now. focus on developing a foundation in typing, keyboard shortcuts and the ability to use the command line. No one else will tell you this.
