Is Sololearn actually wrong?
Sooooo, when I'm learning programming languages like css and look at the comments section, some people say that the example code is either wrong or that there is a better way. Are they correct, and if so, why did Sololearn use these as an example code?

CeePlusPlus their is always an alternative way to do complete same problem set so if their other option are exist then we should look over first that course for an beginner should be enclosed with the alternative way or the way which they can easily understand and then go towards the advance courses. If the code snippet has any bug or error then you can report it via mail to sololearn or via in app feedback feature.
Better way always exist but what better for beginners and easily explanatory that is their primary focus. The other better way can be posted in comments that's why comments are there from which one can get to know about alternative way for the purpose too.

Sometimes there can be errors in lessons. These can be reported and fixed.

It's important to remember (especially with courses on CSS), that the standards are changing dramatically even as they are finalised for version 3. This means that syntax often changes over time and as new options (like Flexbox and later CSS Grids) become available, the 'old' options are no longer the best option. It doesn't mean the old option is wrong... it's just been replaced by a better way of doing the same thing. At the end of the day, if it works it ain't wrong.
