As C++ is advanced level of C language but still why are we studying C rather than C++?

Martin Taylor if we use just the older C libraries and no OOP in a C++ program, will it have a larger footprint compared to a C program? If so, I see the point but if not, why use C at all for embedded systems?

Because C++ is from C.
Our mother programming language is C.
C has the basic concept of C++.
So, it would be easy to learn programming which is start from C
