Difference between project and codes

Question

My SL has updated, and now I can see projects and codes. What's the difference? Both like the same, but I must to transform a public code as project, then, there are more codes than projects.

What's exactly the difference between them?

My own thought
In projects, other than SoloLearn you can show codes from github, codepen.io etc
In codes, you can show only SoloLearn codes
