Why is C# incredibly popular nowadays in business?

I've talked with a lot os companies and they all have in common one thing C#. Why is this language so popular?

Sleek, modern, fast and works in .NET framework which support a wide variety of uses. Lots of libraries, with .NET core it became multi platform and even Xamarin for android development.
