Which computer is best for programmers

Hello everyone, I'm starting with programming class in my university. The thing is that i want to buy a computer to practice, which one do you recommend?

Unless you're planning on making games on your computer, or video editing/animating, you'll need an i5 or i7 CPU, and a decent GPU, and minimum of 8gb RAM, 16gb better, here are what I like (I'm actually planning on buying one of these too):
Dell xps 13 (my favourite)
Microsoft surface
MacBook pro (1200-1300$)
HP envy laptops
