Tips for intro to java and c++ next semester

Question

is there anything I can do to have an edge prior to taking the Intro to java class and c++? Any info will help I’m a beginner and just starting out. Thank you for the feed back in advance.

Try going through the very basics of programming.. like input, output, if statement, loops, functions
If you can grasp these you're halfway through..
And try solving very basic real life problems since you're just starting
