Is python or java script better?

This question isn't meant for public opinions. You can't compare python and JavaScript as this are two different languages.

JavaScript is very essential for website creation although python can be used for back-end development, it isn't compulsory cuz we have other languages like php, sql, node.js etc

Python on the other hand is a very powerful programming language which can be used for almost anything. This only ranks it high in the field of programming. So when you ask which is better, I'd say they're each very important.

If you are developing websites JavaScript is mandatory, because any practical browser supports it.

Python is the leading programming language in datascience.

Clarify your context of comparison... all are easy to learn but they perform differently giving them strengths that are not "comparisonable"<-(home brewed language)
