For learning/testing purposes, you can start off by acquiring a free web hosting account, this will give you access to web space where you can upload/host your website files. You will also need a domain name, you can use a sub domain from you free web hosting provider or you can purchase one from a domain name registrar.

Once you have the two sorted, you will need an FTP Application to upload your local website files to your remote web space where your site will be hosted.
