If you only want to host HTML, CSS and JavaScript websites, you can host them using github or gitlab, with a free subdomain.
If you also want PHP and other advanced hosting oprtions, there are few websites that give you that for free with a domain name (also free), but I have read that they were a scam, and can't be trusted.
If you want to test only, then sure go ahead and use them, but if you're actually wanting to build an official website, I don't think it's a good option.
Anyway, if you still want to try it out, here is a website I used to use:
