There is never a (one) trending language and there will never be a trending language. You should ask your question more specifically by indicating fields. I think the following list could satisfy your question

Basic HTML5, CSS3 & JS are always trending [in Web]
jQuery is trending as Java Framework

In server side languages PHP is always trending because it is open-source and easy to learn

Java because it is being used in Android as well as Desktop and server applications

Python is easiest language to learn so I believe python is future.

C++ and C will never leave market on System level programming nothing can replace both languages in early future.

SQL is compulsory for databases. SQL can vary according to company so learn anyone it doesn't matter.
