Which language to learn next?

Learnt HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT. So which language to learn NEXT? PHP or JAVA?

On the Php side, 80% of websites around the world user some form of PHP in their backend. Although is not the most popular language, is one of the more recurrent ones over the last 10 years. Php 7 has been released and it supposed to be a great improvement, and combined with Javascript and SQL, makes a pretty reliable mix. Finally Wordpress uses PHP, which offer huge possibilities for someone who knows PHP and can create custom WP Child Themes.

On the side of Java, is being used by 90% of Fortune 500 companies and also is the language of choice when developing on Android, which means an insane market potential for Java Developers.

Sure... so Php is a server side scripting language, which mean it runs on your server. You can use it to display and manipulate your html. You can embedded in your html and generate it according to your business logic. Also you can use to connect to databases like MySQL.

You can use php to connect and run SQL commands to fetch, post, update and delete data from your database. Basically php can transform your static page into a dynamic one.
