Is it really important to learn things which are not in computer engineering syllabus (like angular js, django, AI, robotics..)?

Or should I focus on data structures and algorithms more than this things? Because one of my teacher said to us that strong coding skills in any one language can give you placement in one of the top product based companies. Please help me.

Sagar Labade The algorithmic skills and solving different types of problems important for any type of programmer as this is only thing which is most important. If you practice on these skills then you can easily attend and go ahead on that technology. Coding skill in one language can gives you job only when you have mastered that skill and answer any questions fetched to you at the time of interview. But mastering any language is hard so if you practice data structure and algorithms with any two languages like one procedural programming language and one object oriented programming language then you can get an decent chance to answer all the query asked in interviews. Projects are play more important role in interviews as these defines how you have implemented your knowledge so if you have single and two languages in your skills then you must make some real time impressive projects in those languages.

And about your mentioned technology angular javascript, django, AI, robotics if you have interset you can work on that by joining internship and summer training by finding time for your passion and work on them. AI, data science is mostly used python and have contain many algorithms too which give you an upper hand when you are good at data structure and algorithms as well as robotics has same inbuilt and other algorithms which used AI and machine learning which too contains different algorithms. Angular is come and used in front end technology with UI/UX design and Django is frameworks for making websites in python. So first be clear in mind in which language you want to work and go on with company and then decide the valid roadmap for the purpose.

GAWEN STEASY i am very thankful to you sir. I have completed advanced data structures and now heading towards competitive coding. But i was wandering whether am i doing right or wrong... Because everyone is focusing on IOT and machine learning without having basic coding skills. Really thank u.♥️
