You can use python but it is not recommended as Unity uses Mono, which is a cross-platform implementation of Microsoft’s .NET framework. C# is the primary language of .NET, and all of Unity’s libraries are built using C# code. So C# is considered to be the best language to work with unity

I actually don’t believe Unity supports Python. It used to support UnityScript (basically JavaScript), but since that has been deprecated, C# is the only language you can use in Unity
