Depends on what engine will you develop your game. Unity3d works with C#, Cryengine, UnrealEngine with C++,but it is much more complicated to build a game there. So, in my opinion, for beginers in game development to use Unity3d

you can use c# cause it used in unity 3d or phyton cause it used in blender but i think c# is better. But, if you have some money, you can use cry engine that using c++ programming language
