what's the difference between scripting , programming and markup language ??

Some people differenciate "programming languages" and "scripting languages", but in my point of view, both are programming languages: first ones are compiled languages per opposition to seconds wich are interpreted language ^^

"markup languages" are not programming languages but descriptive languages... they encapsulate data rather than programs, even if a program could be a part of the data embeded (in markup language html, you can includes script language js).
